My Bess ( Nutmeg x Cinch litter of 2/2018). She is everything I have ever dreamed of. She is brilliant, athletic, sweet and gorgeous. I decided at 64 years old that I wanted an enthusiastic agility partner as my last puppy. Bess was shipped to Boston, moved to Nantucket for 1 month before I packed up and moved to the midwest. Throughout all of this, she remained confident and calm. She fit right into my household (3 other dogs) seamlessly and cheerfully. We have been training for agility since she came to me and is the most focused, confident dog that I could have ever hoped to have. She is simply put, AMAZING. I am so grateful to Suzy and Lee for breeding such wonderful pups. She will begin competing in earnest after she turns 2 and I know our future is bright.
Update on Bess, November 2020. Bess has earned almost all of her Intro and Novice titles in Nadac agility. She loves those distance challenges and is quite happy to work away from me but will just as easily work close as well. We didn't get to many trials because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, but the Nadac ones are all outdoors and lots of safe practices were implemented. This fall we decided to try some AKC agility and in two weekends she earned her Novice Standard and Jumpers titles, so when we return to competition it will be on to Open. Bess lives to play: agility, frisbee, ball, just about anything that can be made into a game, she will find a way. But once asked to work, she is all business. We are headed to Florida where she will try her hand at herding, and if there are trials that are outdoors and safe, we will begin working on our Open titles in AKC agility. Every day I look at her beautiful face and tell myself how lucky I am that Suzy trusted me to raise and love this wonderful dog.
Bess sticks to that table like glue! She is also SUCH a beautiful jumper. She's a torpedo! She jumps 22" in this venue pictured, USDAA, 20" in AKC and CPE. At 4 years old I can count the number of bars she's dropped on one hand. She is very efficient and makes it look effortless.
