BCW Texas was bred by Border Collies West in Boerne, Texas. His sire, Foxridge Taff, was bred by D.W. Edwards and imported to the USA from Pembrokeshire Wales. His dam, PL Josey, was bred by Anita Pratt of Blackfoot, Idaho.

Texas is my dream dog - he is my heartbeat and best friend, so easy to live with and everyone, human and canine, love him. He is quiet and has the typical extreme intelligence of a Border Collie. Texas learns everything so fast and easy, and is a loving companion. He is showing incredible talent and promise as a herding dog. Texas qualified for the National Sheepdog Championship in his first year of training and five Nursery trials.

JULY 27, 2019 UPDATE:

Our BCW Texas (IMP Foxrideg Taff) just won his first Nursery Class with Norman Close during the first day of the Moon Creek Trial in Idaho. Taff's, sire is Tanhill Glen, a European Nursery Champion and his dam is Edwards Jess by Bobby Dalzill's Joe. Texas's dam is P.L. Josey (IMP Doc {Rob} and dam IMP Derwin Reiver).

Texas has been in 5 trials this first year in training and is competing against dogs who have a full year more training and trialing under their belts so we are really excited to see him doing so well. Thank you Norman Close for the win and for your wonderful care and wise way of a bringing a pup along. We love and admire you and Vickie more than words can ever say. You humble us with your quiet confidence in our silly boy.
